I always make sure to tell my first year clients to enjoy dressing their new little ones this year, because all too quickly, they are choosing their own clothes (which is also a pretty awesome stage).  When it comes to a newborn session, I ask them to have any special blankets or accessories on hand (though my personal favorite is just baby in all her glory).  For this session, Mom and Dad had lots of the cute bows and hats and blankets.  But baby only wanted to be wrapped in her puffy pink blanket.  I love that, at just a few days old, she already has a “blankie,” and it’s in every single one of these images!  It calmed her and soothed her, as did being in Mom and Dad’s arms.  Sadly, this lovely family is moving out-of-state.  I am sad to not be able to finish out their new one’s first year, but so very thankful to have met them all and spent some time making their newborn images!
