adventures in risking one’s life while having to pee while having your photograph taken

I’ll save the reason for this title for last.  But it’s a moment worthy of the whole title.  Promise.

What can I even say about these two?  They are super fun people, they look like a couple of super models, and they love each other in the way that makes even OTHER PEOPLE smile.  I was smiling the whole session!  columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographerAfter a walk through Goodale Park, where he proposed on the slippery ice near the crazy elephant fountain this past winter; we headed to their favorite happy hour spot: Press Grill.columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer Then we were off to North Bank Park, with beautiful views of the city.  It’s a bit of a mystery what’s happening in this next image, but we’re pretty sure something along the lines of “Plant one on me right here” was spoken.  And then laughing ensued.columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer columbus ohio engagement photographer  Then it was back to their house (which is right around the corner from Katalina’s which is pretty much awesome) to play with their pup!columbus ohio engagement photographerSo then there’s this one.  They wanted a shot at the ballpark, but there was no game happening, and it’s really hard to get a good shot without being inside.  I’m pacing all around the place, knowing what I want to do and slowly realizing it’s not going to happen.  I tell them my plan.

Sam: “What if we got up on that railing?”

Me: “No, I couldn’t have you do that.  It’s so not safe!  You really are up for that?” (this is secretly what I wanted all along)

They climb up on the railing, have to balance on their tiptoes on a round bar a few feet off the ground, with only cement stairs below.  We’ve been all around the city, had beers, and Katie really needs a bathroom.  But I’m all, “Yeah, just like that.  Just don’t die.  Now look at each other.  Get in close.  Don’t die.  Hold on.  Just a minute more.”

And we have this to remember that moment:)columbus ohio engagement photographerThank you, thank you, thank you to Katie and Sam for being such good sports!  Can’t wait to see what they’re up for on their wedding day!  😉

  1. Liked the word play with “being such good sports” in relation to the post. Smart one! Love that Huntington Park photo. It summarizes the whole session up. Great work!
