The Anniversary Project – I didn’t have this blog last year, so I decided to do some one-year anniversary posts for all of last year’s amazing weddings:)
Holy smokes. Where to start? First off, this is my sister. We are very close, and I love her so much! A few years back, she found her James, who loves her even more. And that is such a beautiful thing. These two are truly soul mates. I have watched them journey in the same and different cars through the roller coaster that is love, and every time that ride is at an end, there they are in each other’s arms. James makes Lisa HAPPY. Happier than I’ve ever seen her before. The kind of happy that lights up her face and makes her laugh and laugh. The kind of happy that spills into all the other aspects of her life, making things a little brighter. And James. James is a good man. Just a couple of weeks ago, he helped me out in the middle of the night with a flat tire. Without batting an eye. That’s the kind of guy James is. Love them both!
They decided to have a small wedding on the spacecoast of Florida (perfect for my sister who once had a dream to travel through space). It was wonderful – a few friends and family on the beach, with my husband (who got ordained online) uniting them in ceremony (he was hilarious and heartfelt all at once – it was awesome).
The love between these two is overwhelming. Truly. You’ll see what I mean. I went with Lisa while she had her hair and makeup done. At one point, she asked me how the weather was looking. Her wedding was supposed to start at 4, and this is what my weather app showed… I told her the weather looked just fine (and then I went out and bought a couple of umbrellas). And that’s exactly what they did! Everyone had some drinks inside while we waited for the rain to stop. And then they walked down the street and the ceremony began! Lisa and James, I love you so crazy much!!! Happy, happy anniversary!!! Let’s go hit the beach again:)
